Programs include a Computer Center, After School Tutoring, Mobile and in office Medical and Dental Clinics, and food pantry. Some financial aid offered may be for paying utilities, rent, clothing, furniture and household goods. Food Pantry – must be referred to Loaves and Fishes by referring partner. Contact one of the following to make a referral for you to Loaves & Fishes:
Church Pastor or local clergy, Doctor’s office or other medical provider, School Counselor / Social Worker, Department of Social Services, Salvation Army, Goodwill, case manager.A photo ID is required to complete a referral application. If picking up for another person, a signed letter stating permission to pick up is required.

Community Service Center – Berean Seventh Day Adventist Church 1332 Oaklawn Ave, 28206 704-377-4741 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and Saturday 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., hot meal served. Food Pantry: Tuesday and Wednesday evening Food pantry, clothing closet, some help with medication refills (up to half) and some help with bills. Eligibility:

Referrals accepted from Department of Social Services and other human services agencies in the city
Jackson Park Ministries  5415 Airport Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208 704-333-4280 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30 am – 11:00, Appointments must be made in advance. They provide on site, temporary and transformational housing and financial accountability, counseling, a food pantry and clothing pantry for children for infants through age 18 at no charge. Call ahead for Clothing – Self Referral.

Food Pantry – If you have a caseworker at Department of Social Services or if you have a caseworker at Goodwill, or the Charlotte Housing Authority, or Veterans’ Services, or Urban Ministries or Crisis Assistance Ministry, or another human services agency. they can call in a referral. If none of the above applies, please call Loaves and Fishes at 704-523-4333.

Referrals to the Transformational Housing Program can be made at any time. The potential resident needs to call for an interview and fill out an application. Please contact:

Recipients meet with a pastor/counselor for a time of encouragement and prayer when receiving care at Jackson Park Ministries.

Families may visit the Jackson Park Ministry Clothing Closet up to one time every 90-days.

1 week of food to be prepared in your home up to 8 times per year.

Referral Required for each visit. A referral can come from a church pastor, clergy member, medical provider, school counselor, or many of the human service agencies located in Mecklenburg County. The referring agency must call Loaves & Fishes on your behalf to make the referral. Information needed in order to make a referral:
Name, Birthdate, Social Security Number and Gender for all household members.
Address and Phone Number of head of the household.
Employment information for any members of the household.
Pineville Church of the Nazarene 8614 Pineville-Matthews Road, Charlotte, NC 28226 704-542-3618, (Food pantry open 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 9:30am-12pm, and 6pm-7pm). You must be checked in 30 min prior to closing. Food pantry. Clients may shop only once a month and will be re-evaluated each year. If this is your first visit, you need to bring three items with you:
• a picture ID
• proof of residency (current public service/utility bill)
• a referral letter (on their company letterhead) confirming your need for food. It could be from a social/case worker, the pastor of your church, your doctor, or the school your children attend.
